We went to visit Chris's ENT doc again yesterday for the follow up on his surgery, and to find out more about the pathology results. We are very happy to report that there are no signs of further cancerous lumps or nodules! And no further signs of any aggressive cell types anywhere in the lymph nodes, thyroid, etc. We feel very relieved, and are thankful for everyone's prayers! He will go back in 6 months for a check up.
Here's what the surgery site looks like now. It seems to be healing up pretty well.

Keep vitamin E oil on his scar. It will reduce the redness alot faster and make it almost disappear.
