He's been a little iffy about preschool all along. So last week when I left him in his new classroom for a few minutes with his class at orientation, he cried. He's been anxious about it for awhile. So today when we went, he surprisingly seemed okay with it. Even ran to the entryway of the school. He did still hang on to my leg when we got into the class room. And cried for about 15 seconds as I left. So the good news is that he's getting used to the idea. When we left today he did say "Preschool is fun"... but when I ask him if he wants to go back he says "no"... so we'll see how Thursday goes!
My note to the teacher on his first day: Aidan may have a rough first few days of school. Learning the rules & routine may be difficult for him. He will likely feel overwhelmed and have a short attention span.
